Description

Fosaprepitant dimeglumine is a water-soluble prodrug of aprepitant. Upon intravenous administration, it is rapidly converted to aprepitant, which acts as a selective neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist to prevent substance P-mediated emesis. It is widely used in antiemetic research, including in vivo models of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) and in vitro receptor binding studies.
